Mette Julie Bundgaard-Nielsen is a wellknown figure of the Danish fashion scene, both within commercial fashion and haute couture. Mette Julie is a graduate of Kolding Design School and has worked professionally at Bernhard Willhelm in Paris and Ruby Smallbone in Sydney and as Head of Design for Fonnesbech, with whom she won the Elle Style Awards CSR award.

Mette Julie Bundgaard-Nielsen has, under her own name, been nominated for the prestigious Bienniale award for the couture artwork 'Reduce' at the Biennale for Crafts and Design. The work 'Reduce' and the rest of the series 'Simplicity' are portrayed in many media, including on trend guru Li Edelkoort's Trend Tablet as well has been shown in exhibitions around the Nordic region.

The potential for responsibility in fashion has been the focal point since the beginning when, under her own name, she explores longevity, quality and flexibility in fashion and clothing. Mette Julie's work is both artistic and commercial, but common to them all is the focus on a sustainable life cycle, good craftsmanship, aesthetic sustainability and innovative flexibility.
